She/Her
A former professional ballet dancer, I have shifted my passion and dedication to the field of mental health counseling. It was during my time mediating civil conflicts that I decided to move into the field of counseling to garner a deeper relationship with my clients and more intimately help them move towards their goals and a sense of well-being.
Credentials
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology (Columbia University)
• Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling (Columbia University)
• Juris Doctor (Charleston School of Law)
• Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Dance (Duke University)
My Approach
My approach is proactive, engaged, and pragmatic. I draw from my training in humanistic, cognitive behavioral, trauma-informed, multiculturally competent, and strength-based methodologies. I seek to create an engaging, collaborative, and warm therapeutic environment as a means of providing a safe space to explore and bring about meaningful change. I believe that the therapeutic alliance (therapist-client relationship) is at the heart of successful therapy and built on respect, empathy, lack of judgment, and openness.
