Depression
Support for when life feels heavy
Depression can make everything feel harder—getting out of bed, staying connected, feeling hopeful about the future. You might be keeping it together on the outside, but on the inside, things feel stuck or numb or just…off.
If you’re feeling this way, you’re not alone. And more importantly, it can get better. We offer therapy for depression to adults who are looking for real support, not just surface-level advice. Together, we’ll work to make sense of what you’re feeling and find a path forward that feels both doable and sustainable.
What Does Depression Feel Like?
Depression doesn’t look the same for everyone. Some people feel heavy and exhausted, others feel numb or disconnected. You might be experiencing:
A lack of motivation or interest in things you used to enjoy
Fatigue, low energy, or changes in sleep or appetite
Irritability, hopelessness, or a general “fog”
Pulling away from friends and family
Feeling like you’re going through the motions but not really there
Even if you’re high-functioning and managing daily responsibilities, depression can still be present. Therapy can help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and start to feel like yourself again.
Small Steps That Can Help (Right Now)
While therapy creates lasting change, there are also small, tangible things you can try today to begin shifting your mood:
Get outside. Natural light and movement can gently boost your energy.
Reach out to someone you trust. Connection helps break the isolation.
Try one small task. Make your bed, take a shower, or respond to one email. Tiny wins matter.
Create structure. Even a loose daily rhythm can provide stability.
Rest, don’t numb. Sleep, music, or meditation can restore; endless scrolling often depletes.
These steps aren’t meant to “fix” everything—but they can be a bridge until you have more support.
Our Approach to Depression Therapy
I know depression can feel isolating—but you don’t have to figure it out on your own. In our work together, we’ll explore both the internal and external factors contributing to your experience. I’ll meet you where you are and help you build from there, using a blend of:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to shift stuck patterns in thinking
Relational and trauma-informed approaches to explore how past experiences may be showing up in the present
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and self-compassion
Strengths-based work to reconnect with what’s meaningful to you and build on what already is working for you
Mindfulness and grounding techniques to regulate your nervous system
Our sessions won’t be about judgment or fixing you—they’ll be about understanding what’s going on beneath the surface, giving it language, and finding ways to move through it together.
You don’t have to stay stuck.
If you’re ready to feel more like yourself again, we’d love to help.
